Whiter Shade of Pale

White may symbolize purity but for me all it means is an opportunity to irreparably damage something. Forgetting for the moment that colors and patterns are delightful, exuberant and fun – white is just a tease. It inevitably shows your underwear, even if it too is white, and there is no way to win against a battle of the visible panty line. Within minutes of donning an article of white clothing I am almost assured of disaster. Then there is the use of white on furniture or other objects – the white just showcases every whisper of dust or scuff. No good.
