Snacktime

Raisins are not the snack of choice for adults. I’m sure they’re great for kids since they’re a quick burst of calories without refined sugar – with plenty of the natural variety. That makes raisins a less optimal choice for me, seeing as how I have to make all my calories work for me. The deciding factor, as ever, is the fact that I already have the raisins and they are easy to transport. So my midmorning snack is made up of a generous handful of almonds and raisins – which roughly equates to twenty-four almonds and a quarter cup of raisins.
