Expectations

One would think, from my existing viewing habits, that I would enjoy “Relic Hunter”. After all, I enjoy “Xena: Warrior Princess” and that was a slightly campy show that wreaked merry havoc with the timeline in order to get their shows. “Relic Hunter” has a strong female lead who also uses her feminine wiles to kick butt and save her bungling male assistant. Oh yah, and mythology is real in both – although Xena often wound up taking centre stage in those same myths (surprising that Sydney hasn’t discovered that in her research). Yet Sydney is not the gal for me.
